BRISBANE CITY COUNCIL
Bayside United would like to acknowledge the help received through funding and grants from Brisbane City Council and our local councillor Peter Cumming. They have provided grants for part of the lighting on the main field and for all the lighting for training on the back fields, roof insulation & solar hot water in the last 3 years totalling more than $70,000 thousand dollars.
Brisbane City Council have also recapped and returfed our main field and the 2 under 6 fields at the front at great expense 2 years ago, and will be doing the same next year with the back fields, which we will be turning into a second main field next year.
We hope to hear soon about our application to lease the park next to Bayside for more rooball fields next year and the upgrade of Andrew St and associated parking at the front of the club grounds.
It is an enormous benefit to Bayside to have a councillor who is as involved as Peter Cumming in the district and who always does his best for the area both in aiding the clubs to keep the juniors playing on good grounds and also with the free amenities on the foreshore.
TELSTRA
Bayside United would also like to thank telstra for their support of junior football throughout the district.
We have received a grant for the telstra football anytime girls only program and we currently are awaiting a reply to our submission for a 1,000 dollars worth of sporting equipment to be used by all junior teams if our application is successful, (hurdles and speed ladders)
QLD GOVERNMENT SPORT & RECREATION DEPARTMENT
We also currently have an application in with sport & rec for a 5 & 10 year plan to be drawn up for the club which will help Bayside`s continuing growth throughout the next decade and beyond with real and achievable goals for the furture, and will assist us in further applications for grants and funding.
